Felix's unique record in athletics
Alison Felix of the United States won gold in the women's 4x400m relay team event at the Rio Olympics. As a result of this victory, she became the first woman to win the sixth gold medal in the Olympics.
No female Olympian has won five gelds before.
Felix won the fifth Olympic gold of his career as he was
the first with his teammates in the 4 * 100 meter relay earlier this year.
However, the four-time Olympian star Rio started with disappointment. He could
not reach the final of the 200 meter sprint. Then he lost gold for a short
distance in 400 meters.

United States finished the race in 3 minutes 19.06 seconds. Jamaica won silver
and UK bronze with a time of 3 minutes 20.34 seconds. The United States has won
gold in six consecutive events in this event.
After winning gold in the 4 * 400m reel in Beijing, Felix won gold in the 200m sprint and 4 * 100 and 4 * 400m reel at the 2012 Olympics in London. Won two reel gold in Rio. In all, Felix won 9 medals at the Olympics. In addition to silver in the 400 meters in Rio, he won silver in the 200 meters at the Athens and Beijing Olympics.
